The Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society (CRRES) Graduate Student Travel Grant is open to advanced graduate students at Indiana University - Bloomington who are in good standing with their departments. Graduate students can receive $500 for travel to national or regional meetings where they are scheduled to present a paper based on original social scientific or humanities research that engages the topic of race and thenicity. Advanced students are those who have passed their Master's requirements. Active CRRES graduate student affiliates will be given priority.
Grant recipients will be asked to write up a report about their research for the CRRES website or newsletter, and are expected to attend at least four CRRES events over the course of an academic year. Award recipients may also be asked to attend and present their research at a CRRES colloquium, and write up content for the CRRES website.
Required application materials for the travel grant include:
- cover sheet (see the main CRRES Grants page for cover sheet);
- curriculum vitae;
- paper to be presented;
