Ellen Wu, Associate Professor in the Department of History and CRRES affiliate, was chosen to be a part of the Class of 2022 New America Fellows. The Fellows of New America encompasses scholars who draw attention and inspire conversations about pressing issues.
She fits right in with the work she does within the Department of History within the College of Arts and Sciences, where she researches, teaches, and writes on race, citizenship, and immigration in American history. She is also the author of "The Color of Success: Asian Americans and the Origins of the Model Minority," an award-winning book. For her impactful work the Fellows program will grant her support and recognition as she continues to contribute meaningful work on race and immigration in United States history.
