Media Professor Danielle Kilgo Calls Attention to Biased Reporting Practices

Media School Professor and CRRES Affiliate Dr. Danielle Kilgo published a piece in The Conversation which examines media coverage of protests and social movements. In particular, her research highlights the unequal treatment afforded to different types of protests in the media. While some movements receive careful and nuanced media consideration, others, particularly those against violence and racism in the United States, receive delegitimizing coverage.
