It's that time of year! We're pleased to share with you the annual CRRES newsletter. We hope that scrolling through the glossy images put together by our hard-working staff will be a welcome reprieve to the emails flooding your inboxes on pandemic guidelines, Zoom meetings, and yet more news of racism.
Those of you involved in CRRES know that we are not only a research center, but a community of scholars conducting multi-faceted work on race and ethnicity across campus. This newsletter, too, is not only a celebration of what CRRES has accomplished in the past year, but what you have accomplished alongside us.
Inside this year's newsletter, you'll find a message from Director Dina Okamoto, snapshots of CRRES events, and special highlights on the Bloomington farmers' market and CRRES's first History Harvests. You'll also get just a glimpse of the work being done by our incredible affiliates, undergraduate researchers, and postdoctoral fellows.
Thank you all for labor you have done, seen and unseen, throughout the year and perhaps especially in recent weeks. Thank you for attending our events, engaging in challenging discussions, and sharing your expertise. We hope you take a moment to celebrate all that you have done.
