About the PI
Katina Bitsicas is an Associate Professor in the Media School at Indiana University, Bloomington. Her work focuses on Digital Storytelling as a meaning- centered intervention for bereaved family members. She has experience working with digital technology at the intersection of healthcare and storytelling, including bereavement, caregiving, HIV, and FSWs. Her research centers on the use of creative practices to promote health and well-being. Alongside this research, she is a new media artist who utilizes video, installation, projection mapping, AR, photography, and performance in her artworks to explore grief, loss, trauma and memory.
