About the PI
Dr. Inés González Casanova is an assistant professor in the Department of Applied Health Science focusing on addressing the social and structural determinants of nutrition-related chronic diseases among racially and ethnically minoritized populations. Her research integrates participatory and culturally responsive methodologies to co-create culturally grounded health interventions, particularly in the prevention of type 2 diabetes and mental health promotion among Latino communities.
