2026 CRRES Research Symposium

The Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society (CRRES) invites graduate student submissions for its annual research symposium, taking place April 16-17, 2026. The symposium is an interdisciplinary space that highlights race and ethnicity research being done by graduate students across the Indiana University Bloomington campus. This year's two-day symposium will take place on Thursday, April 16 in the Indiana Memorial Union. Our featured keynote speaker will be Dr. ​Adia Harvey Wingfield, the Mary Tileston Hemenway Professor of Arts & Sciences and Assistant Vice Provost at Washington University in St. Louis.

Graduate student research panels will take place during both morning and afternoon sessions on Friday, April 17. Each presentation should be 15-20 minutes in length, with a Q&A discussion to follow. To apply, please submit your project title and an abstract of no more than 300 words to the conference committee via the survey at the link below.

The deadline to submit proposals is Wednesday, March 4, 2026
