About the Center
The Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society (CRRES), located in Bloomington, Indiana, is an interdisciplinary, academic site for social scientific and historical scholarship, as well as collaborative research and training on diversity and social inequality, especially race and ethnicity (primarily in the United States).
- to contribute to the IUB intellectual climate by offering a place where an interdisciplinary group of faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and undergraduates can meet, interact, collaborate, and advance research on race and ethnicity;
- to create a space where faculty and students feel supported in their efforts to build a research program that incorporates the topic of race and ethnicity; and
- to offer training opportunities for postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and undergraduates through workshops on special topics and opportunities for research experience and collaboration.
